You don't need to play on any specific difficulty level at least, so feel free to choose what you feel most comfortable with. If you miss an Outfit or don't collect enough Guardian Collectibles, you will have to start a New Game+ run to pick them up afterwards. Therefore, if you pick up a collectible through Chapter Select, it won't be counted. That's because, while there is a Chapter Select option, the game doesn't save your progress once you quit. It's fairly easy to unlock the Platinum Trophy for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy inside a single playthrough, but you need to be on the lookout and using our guides for collectibles at all times.
